In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. Assalaamu’alaikum everyone. This post is a very unique one. At first, I was quite shocked and reluctant with this invitation, but in the end I just couldn’t resist the offer.heh.
Ayahanda Haji Hasyim offered me to take pictures of his weapons collection, and being me, I love weapons. Swords, knives, daggers, spears, keris, parangs, kerambit, tekpi, you name it. My eyes will go @_@. So an offer like this, I thought to myself, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I’m sure if you were offered this chance, you wouldn’t let it pass right?? RIGHT?? haha.
First of all, I would like to thank Ayahanda Hj Hasyim himself, for giving me such an invalueble opportunity, and his beloved wife, Cikgu Ayeen, for treating me well as a guest and student. Maybe this is also something for me to remember by before I go to Gombak and continue my journey there. Some of Ayahanda’s collection were gifts from his students, and the LONG SWORD (almost like a katana) was a gift from Cikgu Hisham Giant.
I would also like to thank Cikgu Hisham Giant of LP Kuala Lumpur, the official secretary of the Lian Padukan Malaysia Association, for giving me a warm welcome to his ‘crib’ in Gombak even when I’m still in JB, and also to the other members of LP KL teachers and members that has ‘accepted’ me even before I start studying there.
Next, I would like to thank all the teachers or ‘Cikgu2 Khatam’ for giving me knowledge and the experience of training with them, and for accepting me into the LP family.
At first I was worried if anyone would disagree with me taking these pictures with the Big Boss’s collection, but it was his decision, so I trust him that he wouldn’t make an unwise decision, and that he has considered all the possibilities, who am I to judge?
Note : I did not make a request to photograph or even look at his collection.
So, I hope that this is an opportunity for us LP family members to get closer and strengthen our silaturrahim and have a chance to look at the weapons kept by The Big Boss. Maybe in the future, guns and rifles would be added to his collection? Haha.
So…I hope all you readers enjoy (especially LP family members.you’ll love these!), and let’s feast our eyes on the weapons collection of the Big Boss of LP.
@_@
p/s: don’t mind the model. he’s not photogenic and not experienced in posing for pictures. just focus on the weapons yeah? thanks.
baca bismillah dulu..hehe

This is the long sword I mentioned. If I’m not mistaken, it’s name is the “Khaujakan Sword”.
sheathed
Now this one is a spear or ‘tombak’ named Al-Batar , in accordance with one of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.’s spear, also named Al-Batar -told by the Big Boss

This is a keris called “Dewa Jawa Demam” or Keris Tembaga Kuning Naga Sosro . It is made purely out of copper or ‘tembaga’ , and it’s a ritual weapon, not for fighting. The handle is shaped like a meditating priest who’s having a fever, hence the ‘demam’. It is said to be used by hindus in their ancient rituals.
This one is called “Pedang Banjar” , because it originated from a place called Banjar, I think in Indonesia. It is said to be aged more than 200 years old, and the blade is blackish in colour. The sheath is made of one piece of wood, rather than two pieces glued together. Very unique.
A picture of Cikgu Ayeen, my teacher, and the so called ‘model’.
This is the picture of the whole collection in Cikgu Ayeen’s house. Note : all the weapons showed until here are Ayahanda Haji Hasyim’s personal collection, given to Cikgu Ayeen and are all kept in her house.Next ,weapons at the Lian Padukan Malaysia HQ.
The Predator of all the weapons shown here. This is the ceremonial sword for Lian Padukan, and it was a gift to the Big Boss by five teachers(please correct me if im wrong), and it’s made out of 9 types of metal beginning with the arabic alphabet ‘fa’ or in malay ‘pa’ , for example, payung, paku, parang, pedang and so on.(please correct me if im wrong). It looks cool. It looks heavy(5 kilos or more I think. the model’s arms were shaking actually while taking those photos). It is SUPER SHARP.Ayahanda just swung it casually at a tree branch and FLOP it fell to the ground. So it’s as real as any sword gets. Its like the sword HE-Man wields.hahaha.Ayahanda swings it around like it’s a broomstick.more like BOOM-stick.hahaha nevermind =_=
A short advertisement of the Big Boss’s beloved Harley Davidson. The model can only dream of riding it for real.hahaha. shiny @_@
Okay. The following pictures are Ayahanda Haji Hasyim’s personal collection in Hajah Fifi’s house(spelling?), his first wife. These pictures were taken in his bedroom, and the collection you see here is only about half of his total collection in Johor Jaya, the rest are on the walls of his house, and in another box.
A nice collection of swords, parangs, keris, tekpi and spear/tombak.
The model holding a spear/ tombak. It was said to belong to a Malay Warrior from Terengganu.
Now this is an interesting keris. Haji Hasyim said that many people want this keris, and I’m not surprised why they want it. Guess the name of the keris? I’ll put it up at the bottom of this post.. =D
Now this is a picture of a pair of tekpi or Sai. It’s known to be the ‘king of weapons’. They used to belong to two prominent figures in Johor. The yellow one, and the other one. I think it’s made of copper too, the yellow one. If you guess correctly, the Big Boss will give it to you! Hahahaha just kidding.
Now this is also another tekpi, quite old and heavier than the previous two. I forgot it’s story… sorry. >_>
This is a pair of keris, passed down from generation to generation in Ayahanda Haji Hasyim’s family. It is said that it’s origins date back to the Sultanate of Pagaruyung.
This,is the Book of Nukil or ‘Buku Nukil’. It was written by Pak Sani bin Abu Samah in 1956. It was give to Ayahanda Haji Hasyim by Pak Raja Ali from Gayang Lima school of Buah Pukul. The proof is written at the back page of the book. It’s written in full jawi.
This is the original Nukil of buah pukul, handed down from generation to generation of Buah Pukul Masters or Guru. It now belongs to Ayahanda Haji Hasyim bin Haji Salleh, given to him by Late Grandmaster Muhammad bin Chik a.k.a. Pak Mat Kedidi, who passed away recently this year. It was given to Ayahanda in the year 1997.
A closer view of the Nukil. It should be close enough to be readable. To those who still don’t believe after seeing this proof, then there’s nothing more that can be said to you. What more proof do you want?
FINALLY.Done with the photos.
Ayahanda also showed me his ‘graduation’ or ‘khatam’ certificate of Gayang Lima, given to him by Pak Raja Ali of Gayang Lima. Apparently, he studied under many Buah Pukul Masters or ‘Guru’ and in the end inherited Lian Padukan school of Buah Pukul.
I think this should be all for now. I would like to thank Hajah Fifi for welcoming me as a guest in her house, and Ayahanda for giving me such an opportunity, and Cikgu Ayeen for welcoming me as a guest in her house too. If I missed out anyone, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to, it’s just that my memory isn’t like a computer.
It was a great experience, especially to be allowed to see the weapons collection of a martial arts grand master. I don’t know what else to say. So…I hope that this post was beneficial and enjoyable, and that we will all be closer to Allah s.w.t. and united among us with this post , insyaAllah.
P/S : If there are any mistakes in facts, please do inform me personally or on my blog.
P/SS : the unnamed keris is called Keris Lipan Bara or Flaming Centipede Keris.
P/SSS : From what Ayahanda Hj Hasyim told me, some of the weapons miraculously make noises and vibrate at times, and some even ‘stand’ on its own. He said that the Keris Lipan Bara stood up after I was done with the photos. It was late, so I didn’t get to take a picture of it standing up. =(
P/SSSS : the cameraman for this photoshoot was Ayahanda Haji Hasyim himself. hehe. *air yang tenang jangan disangka tiada buaya.ini buaya gambar @_@* That’s all for now. Now to prepare for Gombak….
@_@
